Again, this is a recipe that really isn’t a recipe. It’s more of a plea to stop buying store bought guacamole that usually has preservatives and other things that just aren’t needed or good for ya. Guacamole is really easy to make and your spice/add-on options are endless. I guess this is also call to action to start getting creative in the kitchen as well. Why not start with something super simple like guac?! Tonight we made taco bowls + gauc. Bode calls it “walk-a-moley” and Gus calls it “broc-a-moley.”
I call it delicious.

Here’s how I make mine, I tried to pay attention to the amounts of seasoning I used tonight, because I usually just go by a feeling!

- 3 ripe avocados (my Mom told me that when the little stem falls off with ease, that’s when they’re perfectly ripe)
- 1 tablespoon of garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried cilantro
- S&P
So that’s how we rolled tonight. If I happen to have things like a lime, fresh cilantro, or red onion on hand, I’ll add those. There is this amazing taco bar at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport that makes fresh tableside guac and they throw in cranberries, it’s served super cold and it’s amazing. Again, have fun and get creative! I like fresh garlic and crushed red pepper in mine but I learned the hard way that the kids don’t.

Peace, love, gauc!
